What they are saying about Janey Street's newest release:

Although she shares songwriting credits on 99% of this outing, with veteran songwriters like Billy Lawson, Jane Bach, Sam Tate, Lenore Rosenblatt, and Janis Ian (her lifelong friend since childhood), there are no songs by committee. Street’s fingerprints are all over this, and every cut on here sounds lyrically and melodically unified and the overall production strongly maintains that unity. As Berry Gordy used to print on his label, “It’s What’s In The Grooves That Counts ” and they count off strong with her opening fingersnapper, “Wrap My Mind Around You.”

Janey Street Debuts Her Inspiring Video For “I’m Not The Girl I Used To Know”

Today, Elmore is premiering the music video for “I’m Not The Girl I Used To Know.” Street brings out her smokey blues vocals combined with a heavy dose of a true Queens accent on this piano driven ballad. The song, “co-written with Colin Devlin, is a reflection of me looking back on my life,” Street shares. “I think a lot of people, especially women, can relate to it whether they are 20 or 80 years old. Kickin’ around the music biz for all these years has been a double edged sword. On one hand, it keeps you young, on the other hand, industry people make you feel old when you turn 20, y’know?”

Janey Street Is Back...

The name JANEY STREET, may be familiar, but you might not place the face.  However, once you hear her vocals and original songs you will be transported to a street corner in NYC or the trendy West Hollywood scene of the 80's. You’ll instantly think of great singer/songwriters like Bonnie Raitt and Rickie Lee Jones, brilliantly infused with the modern edge appeal of Sam Smith to Adele and Ed Sheeran.  Running through her new EP, I’M NOT THE GIRL I USED TO KNOW, are knock-out songs that transcend time and carry the listener though decades of the experiences that are JANEY STREET.  JANEY STREET, is releasing her new EP, I’M NOT THE GIRL I USED TO KNOW, on March 18th with a full album to come later in 2016.
