Big City Rhythm & Blues - April/May 2004

Janey Street showcased her new CD, "The Street Less Traveled," at 3rd and Lindsley January 17th.
"This is the album I always wanted to record," said Street. This long-time recording and performing
professional has a very relaxed and competent stage manner. She showcased a range of blues vocal,
composition, and musical styles. Her abilities range from the lyrical "Santa Ana Winds" to a my-man-left-me,
"Mistreated" to classic sexual blues, the ass-twitching, "Boy Toy." Janey reminds me of Eric Clapton's
current sound, a smooth rockin' blues blend of electric soul.
